Each shoot starts with the brand - its colour palette, tone of voice, and where the images will live. A product destined for Instagram stories needs different framing and energy to one that's going on a printed menu or a website hero. Getting that right from the start saves time in post and produces more consistent results across an entire content set.

Art direction is baked in from the beginning: props, surfaces, light setup, and composition are all mapped to the brand before a single shot is taken. The result is photography that doesn't just look good in isolation - it looks right sitting next to the logo, the typography, and the other brand assets it was designed alongside.

Shoots are planned with a shot list and a mood board so there are no surprises on the day. Every image is retouched and colour-graded to match the brand's existing visual language - or, for new brands, to establish it. Final files are delivered optimised for web and at full resolution for print, with no ambiguity about which version to use where.

For clients who already have a visual identity in place, I work closely with the existing guidelines to make sure the photography integrates cleanly. For clients still building their brand, photography sessions are often scheduled as part of a wider identity project - so the two things develop together and always feel like they belong to the same world.
